Our local government

In October and November 2013 grade V students  participated in the creation of a movie about our local government. As a part of this activity, students interviewed the mayor of Strumień Mrs Anna Grygierek and the Chairman of the City Council who told them of their obligations, the structure of the local government and performing various functions as well as the role of residents in the management of the municipality.
On November 25, students also took part in an  unusual event: the session of the City Council, during which they talked about Comenius project.

Some of the texts were recorded in English, so that our project partners could learn something about the system of local government in Poland. The video will soon be available here, and now you can watch the photos.

 

W październiku i listopadzie 2013r uczniowie klasy 5a uczestniczyli w powstawaniu filmiku o sprawowaniu władzy lokalnej w naszym regionie. W ramach tego działania uczniowie przeprowadzili wywiad z  Burmistrzem Strumienia Anna Grygierek oraz Przewodniczącym Rady Miejskiej Czesławem Greniem, którzy opowiedzieli im o swoich obowiązkach, o strukturze władzy lokalnej i pełnieniu różnych funkcji oraz roli mieszkańców w zarządzaniu gminą.

25 listopada uczniowie uczestniczyli też w niecodziennym wydarzeniu, jakim była XLII sesja Rady Miejskiej, podczas której przybliżyli zebranym tam radnym założenia projektu Comenius. Warto zaznaczyć, że część tekstów nagrywanych było w języku angielskim, tak by nasi partnerzy projektowi z zagranicy mogli dowiedzieć się czegoś o systemie lokalnej władzy w Polsce.
