Comenius visitors in our school - part 1

From 20th  to 23rd  February our school hosted the visitors from the schools in the Czech Republic, Sweden and Croatia cooperating with us in the Comenius Partnership. The guests were welcomed by the principal and teachers of Powstańców Śląskich Primary School on Thursday evening; they could get to know one another, talk and watch the multimedia presentations of all the schools.

Next day, Friday 21st February started with the assembly to introduce  our guests to all the school community. They were greeted not only by the head teacher but also by our mayor and of course, students. They could listen to our school choir Canzonetta.

After that, sixteen teachers from  Katarina Zrinska Mečenčani in Croatia, Zakladni Skola Dany a Emila Zatopkovych in the Czech Republic and Irstaskolan in Sweden set off to the classrooms. Participating in different lessons and students’ activities they had the opportunity to learn about our national and local traditions. Pupils from grades II and III presented the Polish customs of Christmas and Easter. Special Educational Needs students invited the guests to watch their performance about seasons of the year as well as to take part in the art workshops.
Next, our project partners watched the typical Polish lesson in class VI and the history lesson in class IV that was about past events leading to the Polish Independence Day.

W dniach 20 – 23 lutego gościliśmy w naszej szkole przedstawicieli szkół z Czech, Szwecji  i Chorwacji, współpracujących z nami w ramach projektu Comenius.

Następny dzień, piątek 21 lutego, otwarty został  uroczystym apelem, w czasie którego oficjalne powitanie skierowała do gości pani dyrektor Beata Greń, pani burmistrz Anna Grygierek oraz, oczywiście, uczniowie.
